बन्द मुठ्ठी लाख की

 

एक समय एक राज्य में  राजा ने घोषणा की कि वह राज्य के मंदिर में पूजा अर्चना करने के लिए अमुक दिन जाएगा।

 इतना सुनते ही  मंदिर के पुजारी ने मंदिर की रंग रोगन और सजावट करना शुरू कर दिया, क्योंकि राजा आने वाले थे। इस खर्चे के लिए उसने  ₹6000/- का कर्ज लिया ।

 नियत तिथि पर राजा मंदिर में दर्शन, पूजा, अर्चना के लिए पहुंचे और पूजा अर्चना करने के बाद आरती की थाली में चार आने दक्षिणा स्वरूप रखें और अपने महल में प्रस्थान कर गए !

 पूजा की थाली में चार आने देखकर पुजारी बड़ा नाराज हुआ, उसे लगा कि राजा जब मंदिर में आएंगे तो काफी दक्षिणा मिलेगी पर चार आने !!

बहुत ही दुखी हुआ कि कर्ज कैसे चुका पाएगा, इसलिए उसने एक उपाय सोचा !!!

 गांव भर में ढिंढोरा पिटवाया की राजा की दी हुई वस्तु को वह नीलाम कर रहा है। नीलामी पर उसने अपनी मुट्ठी में चार आने रखे पर मुट्ठी बंद रखी और किसी को दिखाई नहीं।

 लोग समझे की राजा की दी हुई वस्तु बहुत अमूल्य होगी इसलिए बोली रु10,000/- से शुरू हुई।

रु 10,000/- की बोली बढ़ते बढ़ते रु50,000/- तक पहुंची और पुजारी ने वो वस्तु फिर भी देने से इनकार कर दिया। यह बात राजा के कानों तक पहुंची ।

राजा ने अपने सैनिकों से पुजारी को बुलवाया और पुजारी से निवेदन किया कि वह मेरी वस्तु को नीलाम ना करें मैं तुम्हें रु50,000/-की बजाय सवा लाख रुपए देता हूं और इस प्रकार राजा ने सवा लाख रुपए देकर अपनी प्रजा के सामने अपनी इज्जत को बचाया  !

तब से यह कहावत बनी बंद मुट्ठी सवा लाख की खुल गई तो खाक की !!

यह मुहावरा आज भी प्रचलन में है।

ईश्वर ने सृष्टि की रचना करते समय तीन विशेष रचना की...

1. अनाज में कीड़े पैदा कर दिए, वरना लोग इसका सोने और चाँदी की  तरह संग्रह करते।

 

2.मृत्यु के बाद देह (शरीर) में दुर्गन्ध उत्पन्न कर दी, वरना कोई अपने प्यारों को कभी भी  जलाता या दफ़न नहीं करता।

 

3. जीवन में किसी भी प्रकार के संकट या अनहोनी के साथ रोना और समय के साथ भुलना दिया, वरना जीवन में निराशा और अंधकार ही रह जाता, कभी भी आशा, प्रसन्नता या जीने की इच्छा नहीं होती।

Once upon a time in a kingdom the king announced that he would go on a certain day to offer prayers in the temple of the kingdom.

 On hearing this, the priest of the temple started painting and decorating the temple, because the king was about to come. For this expenditure he took a loan of ₹ 6000/-.

 On the appointed date, the king reached the temple for darshan, worship, and after offering prayers, put four ananas in the plate of aarti and left for his palace.

 Seeing four annas in the plate of worship, the priest was very angry, he felt that when the king comes to the temple, he will get a lot of dakshina but four annas !!

Very sad that how will he be able to repay the loan, so he thought of a solution !!!

He is auctioning the thing given by the king to a drum beat across the village. At auction he kept four annas in his fist but kept his fist closed and not visible to anyone.

People understood that the item given by the king would be very priceless, so the bidding started from Rs.10,000/-.

The bid of Rs 10,000/- rose to Rs 50,000/- and the priest still refused to give the item. This matter reached the ears of the king.

The king called the priest from his soldiers and requested the priest not to auction my item, I give you one and a quarter lakh rupees instead of Rs 50,000 / - and thus the king gave his respect in front of his subjects by paying one and a half lakh rupees. Saved!

Since then this proverb has become that if a closed fist is opened of one and a half lakhs then it will go to waste !!

This phrase is still in vogue today.
