एक समय एक पत्थर तोड़ने वाला था जो अपने हालात  से नाखुश था एक बार और किसी अमीर व्यापारी के घर के सामने से जा रहा था घर का दरवाजा थोड़ा खुला था उसने वहां कई लोगों को देखा उसने सोचा 'काश, वह भी व्यापारी होता , जब यह बातें सोच रहा था तो भगवान वहां पर खड़े थे और उसने उसकी बातों को सच कर दिया यह सोचती ही वह व्यापारी बन गया वह अब बहुत अमीर हो गया पर अब उसे नीचे के लोग उसे नापसंद करने लगे थे एक बार बड़ा अधिकारी वहां से जा रहा था एक बड़ी सी कुर्सी पर बैठे हुए उसकी सवारी निकली थी कई सैनिक साथ होते थे हर कोई उसे सामने सिर झुका रहा था अब आदमी ने सोचा काश वह भी अधिकारी होता, भगवान ने उसकी यह बात भी सुन ले और उसे सोचते ही अब वह अधिकारी बन गया था जहां जाता है उसके सामने सब  सिर झुकाते थे उसे डरने और नापसंद करने वालों की संख्या बढ़ गई एक बार तेज गर्मी थी उसे कुर्सी पर बैठे बैठे दिक्कत हो रही थी उसने ऊपर देखा सूरज  शान से चमक रहा था अब वह आदमी ने सोचा काश वह सूरज होता, यह बात भगवान ने उसकी सोच के अनुसार कर दिया अब वह सूरज बन गया था उसने इतनी गर्मी कर दी की फसलें झुलसने लगे किसान और मजदूर गाली देने लगे तभी एक बड़े बादल ने उसे ढक लिया अब उसने सोचा काश हुआ पागल होता यह बात भगवान ने सुन ली अब वह बादल बन गया खूब बरसा बाढ़ आ गई बड़ा नुकसान होने से लगा तभी उसे लगा कि उसे किसी ने धकेल दिया वह हवा थी अब वह हवा बनने की कामना करने लगा , वह हवा बन गया उसने इतनी तेजी दिखाई की छाती गिरने लगी पेड़ उखड़ गए तभी एक ऐसी चीज रास्ते में जिसका हवा कुछ न बिगाड़ सका, वह चट्टान थी अब वह चट्टान होने की कामना करने लगा इतना सोचती ही फिर से भगवान ने उसे चट्टान बना दिया वह एक मजबूत चट्टान बन गया था तभी उसे अपनी सतह से हथौड़ी टकराने की आवाज आई वह बोला अब मुझ चट्टान से मजबूत क्या हो सकता है उसने देखा और बहुत दूर उसे एक पत्थर तोड़ने वाला दिखाई दिया। दोस्तों हमें इस कहानी से यह ज्ञान प्राप्त होता है कि हम जिस हालात में हैं उस हालात को अच्छी तरह से निभाएं तभी हमारे जीवन में खुशियां और समृद्धि आ सकती है कोशिश करें कि हम अपने ज्ञान के बल पर अपनी क्षमताओं के अनुसार आगे बढ़े भगवान की दी हुई हर एक परिस्थितियां आपके अनुकूल हैं और आप जिस काबिल हैं आपका जो ज्ञान है आपकी जो क्षमताएं हैं उसकी अनुकूल ही आपको वह कार्य मिलता है आप कोशिश करके अपनी कार्यक्षमता और ज्ञान पढ़ाई से किसी भी कार्य को करने में आप सक्षम रहेंगे यह इस कहानी से हमें ज्ञान मिलता है।
